Housework Can Be So Draining!

Remove stale odours and help prevent build-up that causes blocked drains.

Rinse drain with hot water first. Put in the plug and 3/4 fill the basin or sink with hot water. Then add 1 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup bicarb soda. Once the mix has stopped fizzing, remove the plug with tongs or wearing good quality rubber gloves and let it flush the drain. I let this mix sit in the drain for as long as I can before rinsing a second time with hot water.

For shower recess drains, I pour in a kettle of boiling water, then I shake 1/2 cup bicarb soda into the drain and rinse it down with 2 cups of white vinegar. Your will hear the fizz! Let it sit for as long as you can before pouring another kettle of boiling water down to rinse.
