Remove Oil And Grease Stains From Your Clothes

Removing oil and greasy marks from clothes can be really tough sometimes! I’ve had great success using this simple method – and the best part is, you already have the product in your kitchen!

Simply rub the oil or grease stain all over with a thin film of environmentally friendly dish-washing liquid and wash in the washing machine as normal.

If you have some really long-term tough stains, try rubbing the stain with eucalyptus oil first and leave it overnight. In the morning, rub the stain with dish-washing liquid and wash as normal in your washing machine.

**If you have a heavily stained garment and you need to use a substantial amount of dish-washing liquid, you will need to reduce the amount of washing powder you are using in your washing machine.

  1. I’ll definitely try that! Do you have any suggestions for removing a long standing stain of whiteboard marker which dripped on my shirt.

    1. Hi Shar! Thanks for the great comment. I have been researching the whiteboard marker problem and have come up with a kooky solution which has been tested by several people. Place some paper towel under the stain, then rub sunscreen into the stain with some more paper towel. You will need to add more sunscreen as it sinks into the material. The stain will come out onto the paper towel. Launder the garment as usual after to remove the sunscreen. The results I have read about were using Coppertone Water Babies sunscreen. I have looked at this sunscreen and it’s just your everyday toddler block without fragrance etc, there is nothing super special about it. If you give it a go, please let me know if it works and I’ll post it for everyone to use. See ya soon and merry xmas. MegsX
