Toddlers and preschoolers love to finger paint – the messier the better!
This is an easy non-toxic finger paint that will make you a hit with the under 6’s!
1/3 cup cornflour (corn starch)
2 tblsp sugar
2 cups cold water
1/4 cup eco-friendly dish-washing liquid
Natural food colouring
Place cornflour and sugar in a saucepan and stir to combine.
Slowly stir in the water and cook gently over low heat until smooth and transparent stirring continuously.
Remove from the heat and cool.
Stir in the dish-washing liquid and divide the paint between a few containers.
Add a few drops food colouring to each of the bowls and stir to combine.
You are ready to paint!
Playdough is awesome fun, non toxic (although very small children need to be careful with salt intake) and super easy to make!
1 cup plain flour
1/4 cup salt
1 tblsp vegetable oil
a few drops of natural food colouring
1/2 cup boiling water
Combine ingredients in a large bowl and knead until it forms gorgeous pliable playdoughy dough.
Store wrapped in cling film (yes – not very eco friendly I know but it works the best…) in an airtight container.
